Hamble Point
Hamble Point is reached from the village via School Lane or via the paths across Hamble Common. It is possible to walk from here along the shore to the Royal Victoria Country Park The old gun emplacement blocks the beach at high tide. When the beach is accessible this area is soft as a result of the clay being exposed by erosion. There is a path above the beach to get round this. The path can be muddy or flooded in places.

Hamble Shore
It is possible to walk from here along the shore to the Royal Victoria Country Park The shore is mostly stones and shells. On the country park side of the oil terminal there are paths as an alternative route. These paths are steep in places. Beyond the paths is a road. The shore can also be reached from Hamble Lane, either via Ensign Way or via Coach Road, Westfield Common and the road mentioned above..

At high tide the beach in front of the oil terminal is submerged at one point. It is possible to walk along the wall. There are steps at each end and under the jetty. The area under the jetty can occasionally be flooded.

To avoid using the wall, the shore can also be reached or left via Ensign Way.
