From home via St Denys (Horseshoe Bridge), Itchen boardwalk and river path, under Northam Bridge, Princes Street, Millbank Street, Belvidere Road, Marine Parade, Albert Road North, Itchen Bridge, Bridge Road, Portsmouth Road, Botley Road, Bursledon Road, Le Marechal Avenue, Bower's Drive, Hamble Lane, Satchell Lane and Hamble Square to Hamble Quay. 9.67mi 15.56km.
A break for refreshments at Hamble Quay. From there via Green Lane, School Lane, Copse Lane, Hamble Lane, Ensign Way and Hamble Shore to the Royal Victoria Country Park. Round the park and through the woods. A cup of tea outside the café. From the country park to Netley station via Victoria Road and Station Road. 3.76mi 6.05km.Train home.

A break by the river in Hamble. From there via Hamble Square, High Street, Hamble Lane, Ensign Way and Hamble Shore to the Royal Victoria Country Park. Round the park and through the woods to the café. Sat outside the café with a cup of tea. To Netley station via Hamble Lane, Netley Station, Rail Trail footpath, The Orchard, Hound Road, footpath and The Badgers. 4.48mi 7.21km. Train home.

Another break, sitting by the river. From Hamble Quay via Hamble Square, High Street, Hamble Lane, Ensign Way and Hamble Shore to the Royal Victoria Country Park. Round the park and through the woods to the café, stopping to look at the bluebells in the woods. A break in the sun near the café. Then to Netley station via Hound Road, Hound Way and Station Road. 3.53mi 5.68km. Train home.
