From home via St Denys Road, Cobden Bridge, Bitterne Park Triangle, Bullar Road, Bitterne Road, Northam Bridge, Princes Street, Millbank Street, Belvidere Road, Marine Parade, Albert Road North, Itchen Bridge, Bridge Road, Portsmouth Road, Botley Road, Bursledon Road, Kestrel Park, Le Marechal Avenue, Bower's Drive, Hamble Lane, High Street and Hamble Square to Hamble Quay. 9.66mi 15.55km.

A break by the river at Hamble Quay then via Green Lane, Hamble Common, School Lane, Hamble Common and Hamble Shore to the Royal Victoria Country Park. Round the park and through the woods to the café for a break, sitting in the shade outside. From the country park to Hamble station via Hound Road, The Orchard, Hamble Rail Trail footpaths and Hamble Lane. 3.98mi 6.41km. Train home.

Still warm but the more cloudy weather seems to have put people off visiting. Some light rain for a while but sunny later.

From home via St Denys (Horseshoe Bridge), Itchen boardwalk and river path, under Northam Bridge, Princes Street, Millbank Street, Belvidere Road, Marine Parade, Albert Road North, Itchen Bridge, Bridge Road, Portsmouth Road, Lowford Hill, Portsmouth Road, Oak Hill, Bridge Road, Swanwick Shore Road, river path, marina and river path to Shore Road waterfront. Then the footpath to Strawberry Field, Newtown Road, Warsash Road Co-op, Shore Road, Passage Lane and the footpath back to the ferry hard. 10.50mi 16.90km. Ferry to Hamble.

A break with a cold drink at Hamble Quay. From there via Green Lane, Hamble Common, School Lane, Copse Lane, Hamble Lane, Coach Road, Westfield Common and Hamble Shore to the Royal Victoria Country Park. Round the park and through the woods to the café for a break, sitting in the shade outside. From the country park to Hamble station via Hound Road, The Orchard, Hamble Rail Trail footpaths and Hamble Lane. 4.27mi 6.87km. Train home.

A break with a drink by the river at Hamble Quay then via Green Lane, Hamble Common, School Lane, Hamble Common and Hamble Shore to the Royal Victoria Country Park. Round the park and through the woods to the café for a break, sitting in the shade nearby. From the country park to Hamble station via Hound Road, The Orchard, Hamble Rail Trail footpaths and Hamble Lane. 4.00mi 6.44km. Train home.

Warm and sunny with a strong breeze coming from the north along Hamble Shore.

A break in the shade with a cool drink. Then via Barnes Lane, Brook Lane, Shore Road, the waterfront and the footpath to the ferry hard. 10.12mi 16.29km. Ferry to Hamble.

A break by the river in Hamble, then via Hamble Square, High Street, Hamble Lane, Ensign Way and Hamble Shore to the Royal Victoria Country Park. Round the park and through the woods to the café for a break, sitting in the shade outside. From there, via Hound Road, The Orchard, Hamble Rail Trail footpaths and Hamble Lane to Hamble station. 3.89mi 6.26km. Train home.

Sunny and warm with a light breeze. More hot weather on the way.

Cool at last. More like a normal summer's day.
