why all the alterations to services?

These changes are being made as part of the City Transport policy of amending its services when necessary to meet changes in when and where people wish to travel - and mean an improved service for the vast majority of bus passengers in the east of the City. The opportunity has also been taken to provide a more even service along Bitterne Road, particularly at times like evenings and Sundays when buses are less frequent.

If you have any query about the above changes, please do not hesitate to ask any Inspector; write to or call at the City Transport Offices, 226 Portswood Road; or Telephone : Southampton 553011.
