3267 remained
with the RATP until 1970 although it had been intended
to withdraw all rear platform buses by 1960. Rear
platform buses were normal and still built until
the use of conductors was phased out. Some later
designs for driver only operation retained an open
rear platform for smokers but access was from the
main part of the bus, not the street.
This bus carries
an old style Hampshire registration. Paris buses
carried their fleet number instead of a licence
plate unless they were liable to be used on routes
operatiing beyond the boundary of the capital. The
fleet numbers are re-used on new vehicles. There
is a current 3267 dating from 2008 which does carry
a registration (491 REE 75) allocated to the Bords
de Marne depot for route 320.
STCRP = Société
des Transports en Commun de la Région Parisienne
(until 1948).
RATP = Régie
Autonome des Transports Parisiens (from 1948).
