Most people's bus will
be affected in some way, either a new route,
a route change, new route number or different
times. So please study this book and make
sure that you know about your new bus after
the 30th November. If you have any difficulties
our staff at bus stations and offices will
be pleased to help. |
|
The South Wessex Network
has been developed from the information that
you gave us in the survey made some while
ago. This highlighted where buses were needed
most and how to run as economically as possible. |
|
The current economic
recession and government restrictions on public
spending mean we can no longer run uneconomic
services without support from local authorities.
South Wessex has been designed, in co-operation
with the two county councils, to break even
with the financial support that is available. |
|
Nevertheless the level
of service has been maintained wherever the
demand showed justification. We have done
our best to get things right first time, but
like everyone else, we are not infallible.
So we will be watching to see if we can improve
things and we would welcome your help. If
you have any comments to make please drop
us aline at Poole Bus Station. |
|
Remember, if you have
any difficulties or questions about the new
South Wessex network our staff at local offices
will be pleased to help. Alternatively, watch
out for the Information Buses that will be
out and around the area. |
|
WHAT'S CHANGED |
|
Generally speaking any
service reductions have been made at evening,
Sunday and offpeak times. In most cases buses
will still be running over the same roads,
some with a new number and most with different
times. |
