COMMENCING SUNDAY, 9 JANUARY 1977, the following timetable alterations will be introduced. Items marked ¤ are already in operation.
 
Service
37   Salisbury - Southampton
    REVISED TIMETABLE. Since this service was last revised on Sunday 4 July, problems have arisen keeping to the running time of 1 hour 5 minutes between Salisbury and Southampton. It has therefore been decided to increase the operating time by 5 minutes in order to avoid late running as far as possible. This adjustment in running time will necessitate earlier or later departures from Salisbury, Southampton or Plaitford on some morning or evening journeys. Full details are shown on page 4.
X37   Salisbury - Southampton
    An additional stopping-point has been introduced on this service at Alderbury Cricket Field.
    Mondays to Saturdays
    0755 Southampton to Salisbury journey advanced to 0750, operating 5 minutes earlier throughout, arrive Salisbury 0840.
66   Winchester - Salisbury
    Mondays to Saturdays
    0725 Whiteparish to Romsey section of the 0725 Whiteparish to Winchester journey retarded to 0730, arrive Romsey 0755. (Timings between Romsey and Winchester on the connecting journey unchanged). This alteration will enable a connection to be made at Whiteparish with the 0710 Service 37 journey from Salisbury.
    Timings on Service 37 connecting journeys will be revised as mentioned above.

    A winter service, operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays has been introduced.
    Full details of this service and the daily operation during the summer months is shown on page 6.

    The 1905 Amesbury - Salisbury section of the 1841 Shrewton (Meadway Estate) to Salisbury journey will be retarded to 1907, operating 2 minutes later between Amesbury and Salisbury, arrive Salisbury 1927.
    Saturdays
    The 1903 Amesbury - Salisbury section of the 1840 Shrewton (Meadway Estate) to Salisbury journey will be retarded to 1907, operating 4 minutes later between Amesbury and Salisbury, arrive Salisbury 1927.

    Mondays to Saturdays
    0825 Salisbury - Old Sarum (Airfield) - Salisbury journey, retarded to 0831.
    1755 Salisbury - Old Sarum (Airfield) - Salisbury journey, withdrawn.
208   Salisbury - Andover
    Sundays
    1805 Andover to Salisbury, retarded to 1815, operating 10 minutes later throughout. This alteration will enable train passengers from Waterloo to connect with the bus at Andover Rail Station.
    1935 Salisbury to Andover, retarded to 1945, operating 10 minutes later througout, Arrive Andover 2107.

    1830 Andover to Winchester advanced to 1820. This journey is routed from Three Maids Hill via Littleton (dep 1904), Flowerdown (dep 1906), Weeke, Dean Lane Corner (dep 1911) and City Road, arrive Winchester Bus Station 1920.
