COMMENCING SUNDAY, 31 AUGUST, 1975 exrensive revisions will be introduced in these areas.
 
Services 12, 12A, 12B, 13, 21, 22 and 95 will be withdrawn and replaced by a new pattern of bus services. In a number of areas bus routes will be changed to make buses more convenient by operating nearer to where passengers actually live. The new timetables are designed to provide frequencies more in line with the use being made of each service. In addition, revised timetables will be introduced on Services 24/24B, 26, 30/30A (to be renumbered 130 and 131) and 101.
A summary of the alterations is given below.
 
 
Service    
24/X24   BOURNEMOUTH - SHAFTESBURY
    Daily
    REVISED TIMETABLE. Service 24B (Limited Stop) will be renumbered X24. Journeys on Services 24 and X24 will be extended beyond the existing Shaftesbury Town Hall terminus to Grosvenor Road, operating via Bleke Street and Ivy Cross. Timings between Blandford and Shaftesbury will be adjusted. In addition, the 1600 journey from Bournemouth to Shaftesbury (Mondays to Saturdays) will terminate at Blandford; the 1630 journey from Bournemouth to Wimborne (Mondays to Saturdays) will be extended to Shaftesbury and operate as Service X24, and the 1900 Bournemouth to Shaftesbury (Mondays to Saturdays) will operate as a normal Service 24 journey. These and other minor alterations are shown on the new timetable on pages 6-8.
     
26   POOLE - WEST MOORS/POULNER
   

REVISED TIMETABLE. Departure times from Poole will be at 22 and 52 minutes past each hour. Timings between Bear Cross and West Moors will be adjusted and departure and arrival times at Ferndown will be revised to provide a 30 minute frequency on weekdays to and from West Moors in conjunction with new Services 134 and 135. Connections will also be available at Ferndown to and from Wimborne in conjunction with new Services 132 and 133. The new timetable will allow greater time for transfer at Bear Cross between Services X17 and 26 from Southampton. In addition, the Poulner terminus will be at North Poulner Road, thus allowing the Poulner service to cover a wider area.

38   BOURNEMOUTH - SALISBURY
    Mondays to Saturdays
    0810 Salisbury to Bournemouth will depart Salisbury at 0805, operating 5 minutes earlier between Salisbury and Ibsley, then operating via Poulner Wells Garage (0849), Northfield Road, Gorley Road, White Hart (0851), Eastfield Lane, Hightown Road, Ringwood Markey Place (arr. 0859). Timings between Ringwood and Bournemouth unchanged.
     
97   WIMBORNE - FORDINGBRIDGE
    Mondays to Saturdays
    REVISED TIMETABLE. Timings on early morning journeys will be adjusted and the 1200 journey from Wimborne will operate at 1220 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and at 1230 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, operating through to Fordingbridge via Cranborne.
    In addition, the following journeys will be withdrawn:
    1118 Fordingbridge to Charing Cross (Saturdays)
    1130 Charing Cross to Fordingbridge (Saturdays)
    0845 Wimborne to Cranborne
    1515 Wimborne to Woodlands (Mondays to Fridays)
    1552 Woodlands to Wimborne (Mondays to Fridays)
    1820 Fordingbridge to Cranborne
    1845 Cranborne to Wimborne
    These and other minor alterations are shown on page 12.
     
101   RINGWOOD - ASHLEY HEATH - MANNINGTON
    Mondays to Saturdays
    REVISED TIMETABLE. The number of journeys between Ringwood and Ashley Heath will be reduced, but a 2-hourly service will be provided on new Service 135. Buses to and from Mannington will operate a few minutes earlier than at present.

130/131   POOLE - BROADSTONE (formerly 30/30A)
    NEW TIMETABLE. Departures from Poole will be at 25 and 55 minutes past each hour during the daytime on weekdays, and at 55 minutes past each hour on Sundays and weekday evenings, thus improving co-ordination with Service 10/10A where their routes are common. In conjunction with Services 132 and 133 a 15 minute frequency of service will be operated between Poole and Broadstone. Diversions via Kitchener Crescent and Milne Road formerly operated on Service 30/30A will be discontinued. The new timetable is shown on page 13.
     
132/133   BOURNEMOUTH - WIMBORNE - POOLE
    NEW SERVICE, replacing Services 21, 22 and 95, as follows:
     
    Service 132: BOURNEMOUTH, Winton, Moordown, Northbourne, Parley Cross, Ferndown, Stapehill, Canford Bottom, Leigh Park, WIMBORNE, Lake Gates, Corfe Mullen, Broadstone, Oakdale, POOLE. This service will depart from Bournemouth at 10 minutes past each hour and will depart from Poole at 40 minutes past each hour during the daytime on weekdays.
     
    Service 133: BOURNEMOUTH, Winton, Moordown, Northbourne, Parley Cross, Ferndown, Stapehill, Canford Bottom, Middlehill, Colehill, WIMBORNE, Merley, Broadstone, Oakdale, POOLE. This service will depart from Bournemouth at 40 minutes past each hour, and from Poole at 10 minutes past each hour during the daytime on weekdays. An hourly service will be operated between the two services on Sundays, each service operating on alternate hours. As a general rule passengers travelling across Wimborne will no longer be required to change buses.
     
    These changes will provide a greatly improved service in the Middlehill/Colehill area, in that an hourly service to both Bournemouth and Poole will be provided during the daytime on weekdays (2-hourly on Sundays and weekday evenings). Service 21 at present operating via Colehill will be withdrawn. In conjunction with Services X17, X27 and new Services 134 and 135, a 15 minute frequency of service will be operated between Bournemouth and Ferndown; and in conjunction with new Services 130 and 131 a 15 minute frequency will be operated between Poole and Broadstone during the main part of each weekday.

134/135/136/137 BOURNEMOUTH - POULNER
    NEW SERVICES, replacing Services 12, 12A, 12B and 13, as follows:
     
    Service 134: BOURNEMOUTH, Winton, Moordown, Nortbourne, Parley Cross, Dudsbury, Longham, Lawn Farm, Ferndown, Trickett's Cross, West Moors, Three Legged Cross, Verwood, RINGWOOD, POULNER. This service will operate every 2 hours during the main part of each weekday.
     
    Service 135: BOURNEMOUTH, Winton, Moordown, Northbourne, Bear Cross, Longham, Lawn Farm, Ferndown, West Moors, St. Leonards, Ashley Heath, RINGWOOD, POULNER. This service will operate every 2 hours and in conjunction with Service 134 will provide an hourly service between Bournemouth, Ferndown, West Moors, Ringwood and Poulner.
     
    Service 136: BOURNEMOUTH, Winton, Moordown, Northbourne, Parley Cross, New Road, Ferndown, Trickett's Cross, West Moors, Verwood, RINGWOOD. Journeys on this service will operate in the early morning and evening only.
     
    Service 137: BOURNEMOUTH, Winton, Moordown, Northbourne, Parley Cross, New Road, Ferndown, St. Leonards, St. Ives, Ringwood. Formerly Service 12A, this service will operate on weekday mornings between Bournemouth and Ringwood, and on Sunday afternoons to and from St. Leonards Hospital. The special bus previously operated on Wednesday afternoons to the hospital will be discontinued. During the week adequate alternative services to the hospital are provided on Services X17, X27, 26 and 135.
     
    The new services replace Services 12, 12A, 12B and 13. Services 134 and 135 connect at Ferndown with Services 132 and 133 to and from Wimborne (transfer fares are available between Wimborne and West Moors). In conjunction with Service 26, Services 134 and 135 provide a half-hourly frequency between Ferndown and West Moors on weekdays. Service 134 replaces existing Service 21 between Parley Cross and Longham. The new timetable is shown on pages 20-21.
     
138   BOURNEMOUTH - WIMBORNE
    NEW SERVICE, partly replacing Service 21, as follows:
    BOURNEMOUTH, Winton, Moordown, Northbourne, Parley Cross, Dudsbury, Longham, Hampreston, Canford Bottom, Leigh Park, WIMBORNE. In addition, short journeys between Wimborne and Hampreston will operate on a circular route via A31, Leigh Park, Canford Bottom, Stapehill (Uddens Cross), Stapehill Road, Hampreston, Ham Lane, Fox Lane, returning via Leigh Park and A31 to Wimborne. This service will maintain essential schools journeys to Hampreston and will also provide a service for Hampreston residents for shopping at off-peak times. This service partially replaces Service 21, but Colehill and Middlehill will be served by an hourly frequency on new Service 133, and the existing 2 hourly frequency between Bournemouth and Longham via Parley Cross and Dudsbury will be operated on new Service 134.
    The timetable for Service 138 is shown on page 22.
     
150   POOLE - HURN AIRPORT
151   BOURNEMOUTH - HURN AIRPORT
    These services will be renumbered 890 and 891 respectively, with the following alterations on Service 890 (150):
    Fridays
    1628 Hurn Airport (B.A.C. Works) to Poole retarded to 1635, thus operating at the same time as on Mondays to Thursdays.
     
570   RINGWOOD SCHOOLS JOURNEYS
    (Formerly Services 12 and 13)
    0850 Poulner (Northfield Road) to Ringwood withdrawn. An alternative facility is available on Service 38, departing Wells Garage at 0849, operating via Northfield Road, Gorley Road, White Hart (0851), Eastfield Lane and Hightown Road to Ringwood Market Place, arrive 0859.
    1605 Ringwood Comprehensive Schools to St. Ives End Lane (Ser. 13) will start from Ringwood Market Place at 1620, arrive St. Ives End Lane 1633.
     
704/707/730/132/133/138 SCHOOLS JOURNEYS IN WIMBORNE
    Full details of new schools journeys to and from Wimborne Primary School, Allenbourne Middle School and Queen Elizabeth Upper School are shown on page 22.
    The following journeys are withdrawn:
    0840 and 0850 Gordon Road to Wimborne Primary and Allenbourne Middle Schools (Service 707)
     
708   BLANDFORD - SPETISBURY SCHOOL
    Schooldays only
    0845 Blandford Market Place to Spetisbury School retarded to 0850
     
734/735/736/737/738 SCHOOLS JOURNEYS IN FERNDOWN AND WEST MOORS (formerly Services 12/13/13A/13B/13C/13D/13E/22)

871/872/888/889 MAX FACTOR WORKS JOURNEYS
    Journeys will be operated to and from the Max Factor works, Ringwood Road, West Howe, as follows (journeys subject to alteration or suspension in accordance with factory requirements).
    871 1300 Max Factor to Poole via Oakdale, arrive 1317 (Fridays)
    871 1730 Max Factor to Poole via Oakdale, arrive 1747 (Mondays to Thursdays)
    872 0735 Cranbrook Road to Max Factor, arrive 0747 (Mondays to Fridays)
    888 0714 Ringwood Market Place to Max Factor via St. Leonards and West Moors, arrive 0755 (Mondays to Fridays)
    888 1300 Max Factor to Ringwood Market Place via West Moors and St. Leonards, arrive 1341 (Fridays)
    888 1730 Max Factor to Ringwood Market Place via West Moors and St. Leonards, arrive 1811 (Mondays to Thursdays)
    889 0720 Broadstone to Max Factor via Waterloo Estate, arrive 0746 (Mondays to Fridays)
    889 1300 Max Factor to Broadstone via Waterloo Estate, arrive 1328 (Fridays)
    889 1730 Max Factor to Broadstone via Waterloo Estate, arrive 1758 (Mondays to Thursdays)
    These journeys replace special works journeys and the additional journeys previously operated as Service 26.
     
BOURNEMOUTH BUS STATION
    Consequent upon the above revisions, changes will be made to departure stands in Bournemouth Bus Station affecting Services 9, 14, 24, X24, 38, X38, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138 and 436.
    Notices will be displayed in the Bus Station giving full details.
