AMENDMENT LEAFLET No. 1
to Southampton Area Timetable
dated May 1973.
 
 
COMMENCING SUNDAY, 5th AUGUST, 1973 the following timetable alterations will be introduced in the Southampton area:
 
Service    
71   Southampton - Hamble
    Mondays to Saturdays
    2004, 2104 and 2204 Hamble to Southampton retarded to 2025, 2125 and 2225, arrive Southampton 2105, 2205 and 2305.

88A   Southampton - Thornhill Park Estate
    Sundays
    All journeys departing Southampton Rail Station for Thornhill Park Estate between 1350 and 2150 will be advanced by 2 minutes to depart at 1348 to 2148. The last journey from Southampton Bus Station at 2250 will be retarded to depart at 2300.
    All journeys departing Thornhill Park Estate (Burgoyne Road) between 1419 and 2219 will be advanced by 1 minute to depart at 1418 to 2218. These journeys will no longer serve Tatwin Crescent but will operate 3 minutes earlier between Thornhill (Post Office) and Southampton.
    The last journey from Burgoyne Road at 2315 will be retarded to 2325. This journey will no longer serve Tatwin Crescent, but will operate 8 minutes later between Thornhill Post Office and Southampton.
    Mondays to Saturdays
    2008, 2108 and 2208 Southampton (Rail Station) to Thornhill Park Estate advanced to 1948, 2048 and 2148 respectively.
    2310 Southampton (Bus Station) to Thornhill Park Estate advanced to 2300.
    2038, 2138 and 2238 Thornhill Park Estate (Burgoyne Road) to Southampton advanced to 2018, 2118 and 2218 respectively.
    2338 Thornhill Park Estate (Burgoyne Road) to Southampton advanced to 2325.
    In conjunction with Service 54 and C.S.T. Service 18/18A, the changes on this service are designed to ensure a more even frequency of service between Southampton, Bitterne and Thornhill.
