Direct routes
Airport 0.51mi / 0.82km - along the park entrance road to the exit, turn right on to Wide Lane.
Eastleigh 1.36mi / 2.19km - along the park entrance road to the exit, tturn left on to Wide Lane which becomes Southampton Road in Eastleigh.
Swaythling via Stoneham Lane 1.56mi / 2.51km - take the footpath to the left of the lakes, cross the main part of Stoneham Lane and take the road opposite. This road is also called Stoneham Lane, being the original road, and passes St Nicolas church with its unusual clock and Eastleigh football stadium. This section has no footpath and can flood after heavy or prolonged rainfall.

Other routes - I often use these routes to increase the mileage.
Eastleigh can be reached by a variety of routes taking the footpath above and to the left of the lakes, then turning right on to Stoneham Lane. Go along the main road to the next roundabout and pedestrian crossing. From here, there are options such as:
long route Chestnut Avenue (left), Nightingale Avenue, Magpie Lane, Fleming Park, Leigh Road, Passfield Avenue, Derby Road, Southampton Road
and short route Chestnut Avenue (right), Magpie Lane, Fleming Park, Leigh Road, with several combinations in between.
Swaythling via Southampton Airport is 1.67mi / 2.69km.
