Gosport is home to the Royal Navy Submarine Museum and Explosion! The Museum of Naval Firepower with an easy walking route linking the two. The waterfront is a great place to relax after a long walk. Portsmouth is a short ferry crossing away and from the ferry to the city centre is about 0.95mi / 1.53km.

Stokes Bay 2.00mi / 3.22km - from the ferry go through the High Street precinct and along Walpole Road and Stoke Road or at the road in front of the precinct turn left and along South Street B3333. If taking the Stoke Road route, turn left at White Hart Road to join the parallel South Street route. Turn left in to Anglesey Road which takes you through Alverstoke right down to Stokes Bay.
Stokes Bay 2.20mi / 3.54km - from the ferry turn left immediately along The Esplanade. You can go up to the road and turn left along South Street and then left in to Haslar Road. This route meets the Esplanade route by Haslar Marina. Go over the bridge and continue along Haslar Road, passing the submarine museum. Turn right on to Clayhall Road and follow this road until it meets Anglesey Road. Turn left for Stokes Bay and go down to the end of this road.
