If going to Horton Heath, Fair Oak Square can be avoided by continuing along Eastleigh Road and turning right on to Botley Road B3354.
There are local shops along Riverside and on the old road (Fair Oak Road) which rejoins Alan Drayton Way at the top of the hill.
